I get that it's a book franchise and they are hoping to turn it into a recurring film franchise (wait, so why did they cast a super- expensive loopy 50 year old in the lead again), but man couldn't they just advertise it more like "Jack Reacher in One Shot." Are they that afraid of confusing the so-called built in audience? And the reason we're optimistic about it? Based on the Reacher novel titled “One Shot,” the film centers on the horrific murder of a handful of civilians in Pittsburgh by sniper rifle. The movie is based on the book One Shot, but goes by the name Jack Reacher. One Shot is the 9th book in Lee Child's book series titled Jack Reacher. One Shot star Rosamund Pike calls the Jack Reacher books "electrifying". €�One Shot,” the novel on which the film is based, isn't the first book in the Jack Reacher series, just the first to be made into a movie. Then I come to find out that Jack Reacher is an adaptation of Lee Child's novel One Shot.
